What is a Spanish Gold Visa?

What nationalities can apply for a Spanish Gold Visa?

Only non-EU nationals can apply for a Spanish Gold Visa.

 

What are the advantages of an investor visa?

A place to live for you and your addicts is the main benefit of a Spanish Gold Visa. The initial visa allows you to stay in Spain for one year and travel within the Schengen area.

After 12 months you must apply for a residence permit (issued automatically). Extending your permit for at least ten years will allow you to apply for Spanish citizenship provided you continue to meet the Spanish Gold Visa investment requirements.

 

Do I have to live in Spain for the first year?

No, you don't have to be a physical resident in Spain all year round, nor do you have to be a taxpayer. However, if you wish to apply for a residence permit (after one year), you must prove that you have entered Spain at least once in the previous year.

 

What are the personal visa requirements for Portuguese and Spanish Nationality?

In addition to meeting the investment requirements (see above), you must also:

  • over 18 years of age;
  • no criminal record in Spain or where you have lived in the last five years;
  • Allowed to enter the Schengen area and not denied entry at any time in the past;

Do you have mandatory or private health insurance in Spain?

  • Show that the funds you use to invest in Spain come from legal sources and comply with international money laundering regulations;
  • Prove that you have enough money to support yourself and your family members while living in Spain.
